The tenets of Hinduism or Hindu religion have their roots in the belief that there is the ultimate reality of the universe to deal with. This has been mentioned in the Upanishads, which is one of the holy books of the Hinduism or Hindu religion. The main beliefs of Hinduism also stem from faith that one has in the spirit and the ways of the spiritual world. The Rig Veda, which is an important book of the Hinduism, has the most important ideology to be based on the universal effect of Truth. According to Hinduism the reality that the universe unfolds in front of us, has the effect and intelligence, and hence does not have a specific name to it.

Therefore, when you consider the beliefs of the Hindus or Hinduism, it is based on the two important features of impersonal and detachment to personal and attachment. According the Hinduism, the impersonal and detached state has one meditating and introspection. The other personal form is denoted by the forms of a male or female and hence is worshiped by the Hindus in the form of idols that adorn their temples.

When you consider Hinduism or Hindu religion, the main principles of this religion, it revolves around the soul or atman that is wrapped in a physical body and delivered on this earth. According the Hinduism, the soul is believed to be the abode of God and is the seat of the human mind, the intelligence and the ego too. In Hinduism or Hindu religion, the main idea is that the human being is devoid of any imperfections According to Hinduism or Hindu religion, the soul has two kinds of existences, which are the free and the fettered. When the soul is in the confined state it is in a body and is fettered by the relationships, love for the others, and the desires for materialistic things. In this web of desire which is called maya, the soul goes on to commit sins and evil things which it is not meant for. The lust for life all around the soul makes it forget its true intentions and get entrapped in this world of evil. On the other hand, there is the liberated and free soul that is closest to the spiritual world and nature. When the soul is able to reach this stage of relinquishing of all desires and the lust for materialistic stuff, it is free and in Hinduism or Hindu religion, it is called moksha. According to Hinduism, this is the stage when the soul has attained the highest level of perfection possible. This is also the time according to Hinduism or Hindu religion, when the soul is closest to God. At this stage, the soul is in close conversation with God and has the best of unions.

The principles of the Hinduism or Hindu religion prevail on the Hindus to believe that there is only one Omnipotent power and that is God. This is the God that is similar for people professing all different kinds of religions.

In Hindu religion The Hindus profess that the Almighty has been related to the three tasks or activities which are formation, conservation and dissolution, and re-birth. According to Hinduism, these three tasks or activities are represented by the three deities of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu that are found in any Hindu home or temple. The main thing is that all three of these deities represent the same almighty and universal power but in three different forms. These three forms are represented by the word AUM. Every Hindu knows that the A is for Vishnu, U for Shiva and M represents Brahma. In Hinduism or Hindu religion, deities represent a part of the almighty and are treated such.

In addition, Hinduism or Hindu religion is about principles and not about a particular group of people. Hence, Hindus are not born into that religion but, anyone who practices Hinduism is a Hindu.
